The Second of three releases so far by The Black Explosion, the others being 'Servitors Of the Outer Gods' (2012) and 'Atomic Zod War' (2016).

It's easy to be misled into thinking that 'Elements Of Doom' is actually a doom album, after all, the title tells you it is, but this is nine tracks of harsh sounding acidic, hard rock, steeped in the 70's and beyond. As with most bands of this ilk, The Black Explosion, keeps firmly within their constraints, not here will you find timeless solo's pirouetting into the beyond, instead the searing licks are short, sharp and scathing, the rhythm section, distainful, and straight to the point, like a slap to the face from an offended woman.

If I could describe The Black Explosion, as sounding a bit like The Rolling Stones at their edgiest, and high on acid, mingled with the odd Sabbath moment, then I don't think I'd be too far away from the truth.
